Let's Get This Party Started!

Hey, PageMaps is turning three in May! To celebrate, PageMaps is hosting a sketch contest (perdy original, huh?). Here are the contest details:

Dates of Contest: This wing-ding starts Wednesday, April 15, 2009 and ends Sunday, May 24, 2009 (12 midnight MST)

Entries: ONE ENTRY PER PERSON, so choose your weapon (page size) carefully. :o)  If you enter more than once, I'll have to send Guido after you.

Who Can Enter: Open to everyone all over the world (I'd say the universe, but I understand it's pretty cold on Mars this time of year). Paper or digital—your choice.

Create Your Entry: After selecting the category you'd like to enter (see list at left), choose a Map of that size from any monthly collection beginning in June 2006 through May 2009 (the May collection will be posted May 1st). Here is a link to all of the Maps for that time period: PageMap Archives. Create a layout/card based on that Map and send 'er in! Please do not use a sketch from the current book; only a sketch from this site is eligible.

Maps That Are Excluded From This Contest: MiniMaps, TagMaps, RoundMaps, HalfMaps, BasicGrey sketches and sketches from the book Scrapbook PageMaps.

How To Enter: Email a photo or scan of your contest layout/card to contest@pagemaps.com along with your name, address, email address and month you chose your map from. In the subject line of your email, type the category you are entering. Please make sure your entry is an attachment to your email, not a link to a web page (like PhotoBucket, a private gallery, or something like that). 

Fine Print: Winners will be notified via email no later than Thursday, May 28, 2009 and all five winning entries will appear in the June 2009 PageMaps newsletter and on the PageMaps site. By entering, you are giving PageMaps permission to publish your entry on its website and newsletter. Your entry must be a new, never-before-see layout. Do not post your entry in any gallery, message board, blog or website until the winners have been announced (June 1, 2009).
